Our Mission

“To enhance the social and economic quality of life of our community by providing and maintaining, consistent with financial resources available, a safe and efficient system of county roads and streets for the citizens of Otsego County and to continuously strive to improve the quality of the service we deliver.”

PUBLIC NOTICE:

  • Otsego County Seasonal Weight Restrictions will be in Force 7:00 AM, Wednesday, March 4, 2026. Seasonal weight restrictions – sometimes called “frost laws” – are written into law to protect Michigan’s roads from excess weight during periods when the roads are most vulnerable to damage. State law allows MDOT, counties and municipalities to reduce truck weights and speeds on roads that are not built to accommodate heavy truck traffic in such conditions.
